I Started Topped of with a Red Hat because of my love for fashion. I feel fashion gives people all around the world a way of expressing their personalities. I once heard someone say "You wear the fashion, don't let it wear you!" and that person was right. It is a serious industry where people let fashion get the best of them. They almost to a sense, "worship" fashion. I don't want that to happen to me or any of you out there. But let fashion be a fun way to express different cultures and our personalities. Don't get me wrong though. I do love Bottega Veneta and Bill Blass and would wear every piece of their collections!
Though I won't let fashion control me, I would love to take part as a fashion designer. Soon, as in this Spring, I will have a separate blog for a line of my own. I have been working on pieces and would like to launch a website so I can get my line out in the open. I still don't have a name for my line but I'm working on that. The town I live in is small, and having a love for fashion is tough sometimes, when everywhere you go, most people just don't care about the way they portray themselves. Which I feel is an important part of confidence.
I won't let that stop me from living my dream. My mother always said
It's always best to be over-dressed that under-dressed".
Through this blog, I will post photographs, fashion favs and advice, celebrity gossip, favorite recipes, health tips, new musical artist and painters... whatever just stands out to me that day or what is on my mind, you all will hear from me about. I love having this blog as a way I can publicly journal my own opinions on fashion and more. I always admired magazine editors. I feel like that would be such a fun career. Well here you have it, a small tad bit of my own magazine.
Although I may be 17, that does not stop me from fulfilling my dreams. Fashion is one of my most desirable topics, but besides that, I would love to one day become an event planner. I work in the wedding field now and love it. It's what I have wanted to do since I was a child. I would also love to open a cafe/coffee shop with coffee type products from all over the world. I'm very into discovering new flavors of coffee and old cafe's in down town Atlanta. Some of the best cafe's I have been to are "hole-in-the-wall" kind of places. I would love to own an upbeat, trendy, artistic cafe in the near future. Also, I am an acrylic painter and enjoy it just as much as fashion. It's so relaxing and I have sold many pieces. It's a profiting hobby that I will always keep. I have much on my plate that I would like to do and I feel like my mind is everywhere right now. I know I am a goal-oriented and that you're thinking "She can't do it all..." but just watch me. I will probably be very stressed out. But I am aiming to mark all of this off my to-do list. Fashion line, Event business, Cafe, Gallery, and more.
